We will trek on the bank of Modi Khola, the river flowing down from the base of Mt. Fishtail, up to Birethanti and start walking towards Tikhedhunga on the left leaving the Modi Khola. The walk today is actually on a dirt road where we might have some occasional encounter with jeeps. Donkey train is commonly seen thing on the trek. After about 5 hours with the lunch break, we reach Tikhedhunga, a small but beautiful place on the foothills, to spend the night today.

The trek for the day starts after early morning breakfast. The very first half of the trekking is a steep uphill walk for about 2 hours on nicely paved stone steps up to the village of Ulleri. We will spend a short break there to catch the first Himalayan glimpse of the day. The snow-capped Himalayan peak peeking from between green mountains looks gorgeous. We, then, start trekking further up towards Ghorepani but the remaining portion of the trek is not as steep uphill as the first section in the morning. Walking through forest mostly of the rhododendron trees brings beautiful aroma of the floral riches of the mountain. When we reach Ghorepani after about seven hours of walk from Tikhedhunga, we are welcomed by fresh breeze blowing from the high Himalayas and stunning view of the Himalaya on a clear day.
Check into a tea house and relax enjoying the view of the Himalayan sunset.
Day 05: Ghorepani – Tadapani – B/L/D
Wake up early for a rewarding hike to Poonhill this morning. Prem was my guide for a small group of Trekkers in Nepal. He is a very kind, considerate, funny and highly capable leader - always thinking of the best interest of the group and all the individuals therein. Doing the 5 day trek with him was an amazing experience and I always felt safe and cared for under his guidance. When I learned that he would start his own company I knew that it would be a success because he's a great person, trekker and leader. I would recommend him highly.
