Trip Introduction

Climbing the sixth highest mountain in the world, Mt. Cho Oyu – 8201m, is done from the Tibetan side of the Himalaya. Climbing this mountain from Nepal side is very difficult, almost impossible as it has happened very rarely. Mt. Cho Oyu is considered as the easiest 8000 meters mountain to climb from Tibetan side. Thus, it’s an ideal mountain to begin with to achieve the goal of climbing 8000 meters mountain.

Adventure Mountain Nest organizes Cho Oyu expeditions every year. On our Cho Oyu expeditions, our clients fly to Kathmandu, Nepal, first to have the initial introductory and preparatory meeting. Then after we fly to Lhasa in Tibet and take a few days touring around a few places of Tibet for acclimatization before reaching the base camp to set our camps for the expedition. Our Cho Oyu Expeditions are led by professional climbing Sherpa team who has acquired a good deal of experience in climbing the Himalayan peaks. Our team is well experienced and all prepared to make this climb a success. Considering the weather condition in the mountain, our team leader Sherpa will take the most appropriate decision for all to bring this expedition to a success safely.
