Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival – 1400 m

Today is your arrival day in Kathmandu. Once you finish the custom and visa process and come outside at the airport in Kathmandu, you will find a person waiting for you with our company sign board. Follow him to the car and you will be driven to your hotel. Check in, relax and spend some leisurely time.

Day 02: Preparation Day for the trek

    Day 03: Kathmandu – Syange 1101m

We take breakfast and check out the hotel to start our long day drive. It will take us approximatedly 9 hours to reach Syange to the west of Kathmandu where we are going to stay overnight today. The drive will introduce us with the countryside and rural life of Nepal. The incredible charm of nature and the mountains will make our drive even more enjoyable although the drive gives us some good work out even when we are on our private car seat as the result of the bumpiness of our highways. Reach Syange and check into a tea house and relax.

    Day 04: Syange – Dharapani 1860m/6103ft: 7 – 8 hours

Today is the first day of the trekking on the trail that goes around Annapurna mountain range. The trek will take us through beautiful terraced crop fields, charming local villages and some waterfalls. Sweating on the mountains will be highly rewarded by some of the most beautiful scenes on earth. Before reaching Dharapani which is the stopover for tonight, we will have already experienced so much of mountain charm to make us forget the tiredness of walking long hours.

    Day 05: Dharapani – Chame 2670m/8760ft: 5 – 6 hours

The walk today to Chame from Dharapani is spectacularly stunning as we will be able to have full-fledged view of some of the mountain peaks in the Annapurna range. The majestic view of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal is the day maker. Despite the challenge of walking on some tricky mountain trails, we will enjoy the view to its fullest.

    Stay overnight at Chame.

    Day 06: Chame – Pisang 3300m/10824ft: 5 – 6 hours

We are trekking to Pisang today and the trek starts after breakfast at the tea house. About 6 hours of walk today will lead us through some scenic places in the route. We will be rewarded with the magnificent view of Annapurna II and Pisang peak and also be captivated by the spectacular Himalayan mountain landscape.

    Stay overnight at Pisang.

    Day 07: Pisang – Manang 3519m/11545ft: 6 – 7 hours

The walk from Pisang to Manang via upper Pisang gives us the opportunity to have spectacular view of Annapurna, Pisang and several other high soaring mountain peaks. A more or less 6 hours of walk via Geru takes us to Manang where we are staying overnight today. We will also pay a short visit to the biggest monastery, Barge monastery, in the district.

Day 08: Acclimatization Day in Manang and activity about Manang

Today, we will stay in Manang as an extra day to help ourselves adjust with the high mountain climate. We can go for a side hiking trip to a higher elevation and come back to Manang for overnight stay. There are several options to go for hiking today. We can choose to do one of them. The hiking and staying overnight at the same place as previous night should prepare us to go to higher elevation tomorrow.

    Day 09: Manang – Yak Kharka 4040m/ 13020ft: 4 – 5 hours

We are walking to Yak Kharka today after breakfast. A descend welcomes us to start the hike for the day. Walking past Khangsar village, we follow a trail on rocky wall to reach Thorang Khola. An uphill trail welcomes us again to take us to Yak Kharka for our overnight stay today.

    Day 10: Yak Kharka – Thorang Phedi 4420m/14500ft: 3 – 4 hours

A relatively shorter walk today takes us to Thorang Phedi, the base of Thorang La pass. Although a shorter walk, its mostly uphill walk today all the way up to Thorang Phedi. The trek today brings us a spectacular view of several mountain peaks including Thorung peak, Mt. Khatungkan, and Mt. Syagang. On reaching Thorang Phedi, we will check into a tea house and relax to get ready for the ascent of Thorang La pass early morning tomorrow.

    Day 11: Thorang Phedi – Thorang La 5416m/17760ft – Muktinath 3710m/12171ft: 7 – 8 hours

We start the day very early today to ascend the trail toward Thorang La, the highest elevation on the trip. The day is also the highlight of the trip as it takes us to the highest elevation on the trip. A slow paced four hours’ walk up the mountain brings us to the incredible Thorang La pass. We feel the thrill of joy taking over us; pose in front of Thorang Pass sign for pictures and then head down towards Muktinath on the other side of the pass. Reach Muktinath, relax and be happy on your achievement on the Himalayas.

    Day 12: Muktinath – Jomsom 2743m : 4 – 5 hours

We take our breakfast at Muktinath and start the trek for the day to Jomsom. Today is the last day of our trek which comes to an end after trekking for about 5 hours. We enjoy the last day of the trek on this beautiful Himalayan landscape to the fullest before we reach Jomsom for lunch. We check into a hotel and take our lunch. We can go for an exploration of the town for the rest of the day.

    Day 13: Jomsom – Pokhara 900m

We fly to Pokhara early morning. Although a short flight of about 20 minutes, the route brings some stunning mountain views to us. Once in our hotel in Pokhara we have free day to rest, relax and wander around the lakeside.

    Day 14: Pokhara Sightseeing

We visit several historical and cultural places like David’s fall, Bat Cave, Mahendra Cave, Mountaneering Musem and lake side.

    Day 15: Pokhara – Kathmandu: 6 – 7 hours

We will drive to Kathmandu today by tourist bus. It will keep us on the highway for 7 hours before reaching Kathmandu. We also have an option to fly for 25 minutes at an extra payment for the flight.

On reaching Kathmandu, we will check into hotel, freshen up and have some relaxing time before we go for celebration and farewell dinner tonight.
